SBMA Fall Membership Meeting 

October 17-18, 2007

Close to eighty people listened to Bruce Pearl, UT basketball coach, on Wednesday night at SBMA’s Fall Membership meeting in Nashville, October 17. 

Jerry Martin gave a review of the new Tennessee lien law before the meeting began. 

Steve Bean, Southern Forest Products, Association,  told attendees about mold.  He told them to remove mold from wood with the following recipe:  1 part household detergent, 10 parts household bleach, 30 parts warm water.  Scrub with a brush or sponge.  Dry thoroughly.  

Craig Webb, ProSales, followed Steve and told those present the 10 important trends at lumberyards nationwide. Trends ranged from Short-term economic panic and getting paid, to finding good workers today and who will be LBM’s next leaders. 

The meeting was completed with Larry Adams, President SBMA, giving a Cost of Doing Business Survey review.
