CPR & Bloodborne Pathogens Course

The Problem:  OSHA requires each company to have competent, trained first aid/CPR help available within 3 minutes of any accident occurring at your business location at any time the business is open. All employees must know exactly who, within your company, is trained and can be called on to give this emergency first aid. This person(s) must be trained in OSHA recognized classes. You must have the papers to prove that the employee has been trained within the past year in the CPR & Bloodborne Pathogens. (This training is required EVERY YEAR.) First Aid recertification is every three years and, as we offered that class last year, we will not offer it this year. (The First Aid class is offered on even years.) OSHA requires you to have a designated person trained in OSHA bloodborne pathogens. This person(s) will preferably be your “designated safety officer(s)”. Our industry has been targeted by OSHA as one who is “at risk” in compliance with these regulations.  Please make time for your designated person(s) to attend this special seminar. Remember, the CPR & Bloodborne Pathogens training must be renewed yearly.

The Solution:  This seminar is a one-day training program that is OSHA recognized and approved. This year the class will include the Adult CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens Courses. It will be given by the American Red Cross. Remember, you must have someone available at all times, so you should consider sending 2 employees to this class. The Red Cross instructor recommends that you copy the certification cards (there will be two separate cards) given to your employee(s) for your files. Also, be sure to keep the outline that your employees will be given at the class in their folders. These documents give all the pertinent information OSHA requires you to provide to them. Remember, the person who takes this class should be certified in your company information as the “Designated OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Person”. Each person is required to be present for the ENTIRE program and to pass a test at the end of this training session to be certified. The class will start at 9:00 AM and end at approximately 3:00 PM. No one can be admitted after the class has begun. This class will be limited to 16 people. We must have the registrations by June 1st.

Here’s What Your Employees Will Get:

  • Adult CPR: Check - Call - Care
  • Rescue Breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
